Welcome, I’ll begin with my qualifications…
Professionally, I hold a Masters in Psychotherapy and Counselling, Graduate Diploma in Psychotherapy and Counselling, Bachelor of Psychological Science and certificates in Neurolinguistic Programming, Hypnotherapy, Life Coaching, Time Dynamics and Spiral Dynamics. I am also a registered Level 2 member of the Australian Counselling Association (for further information click here).
I am also a professional public speaker, and have delivered talks and seminars on the human mindset to public audiences, government agencies, schools and kindergartens as well as been heard on ABC Radio and FreshFM. I was awarded best speaker by the South Australian Police at the Resilience at Work conference and was a finalist for Best Upcoming Speaker for Advantage SA Speakers in Schools program in 2012.
I served in the Royal Australian Air Force as an I.T Specialist for a number of years, and prior to becoming a Psychotherapist I held a number of jobs in I.T related fields. My passion however, has always been understanding the human mindset, ranging from the problems we all face through to what makes us thrive psychologically. From a very young age I also read widely on topics ranging from religion, spirituality, philosophy and the sciences to better understand how our minds work.
What this means is that I am well-placed to help you with a range of issues.
Personally, I spend time with those I care about most, and enjoy keeping fit as well as pursuing creative art projects as a way to further myself outside the mental health field (painting is my Zen!).
While I grew up in South Australia, I have travelled the world both professionally and personally and have settled back in Glenelg, Adelaide where I currently reside.
